چکیده
Abstract We carried out a statistical analysis of the propagation characteristics Es and Medium-Scale Traveling Ionospheric Disturbances (MSTIDs) by combining data HF Doppler (HFD) sounder Total Electron Content (TEC) obtained from GPS receivers GEONET (GPS-TEC) for 4 years 2014 to 2017. made use reflection HFD in Sugito, Saitama (36.0°N, 139.7°E), Fujisawa, Kanagawa (35.3°N, 139.5°E), Sugadaira, Nagano (36.4°N, 138.3°E) Japan. By using this triangle observation, we succeeded deriving horizontal speed direction motion Es. In addition, estimated phase velocity MSTIDs observed simultaneously maps GPS-TEC with same observation procedure. The speeds were commonly less than 100 m/s most cases their was predominantly southwestward. This result is consistent nighttime previous studies. More importantly, good correspondence between two phenomena at different altitudes confirms that move tandem each other, further suggesting E region plays an important role generation F region. Detection and Modeling of Medium-Scale Travelling Ionospheric Disturbances in Iran Region
Ionosphere layer variations are divided into regular and irregular. Regular changes can be considered as daily changes, changes depending on latitude and changes due to solar activity. Travelling Ionospheric Disturbances (TID) is one of the irregular changes of ionosphere which categorized in small, medium and large scales. Medium-scale Travelling Ionospheric Disturbance (MSTID) which are propa...

Observations by the CUTLASS radar, HF Doppler, oblique ionospheric sounding, and TEC from GPS during a magnetic storm
Multi-diagnostic observations, covering a significant area of northwest Europe, were made during the magnetic storm interval (28–29 April 2001) that occurred during the High Rate SolarMax IGS/GPS-campaign. HF radio observations were made with vertical sounders (St. Petersburg and Sodankyla), oblique incidence sounders (OIS), on paths from Murmansk to St. Petersburg, 1050 km, and Inskip to Leice...

We report the results of our ionospheric HF heating experiments to generate artificial acoustic-gravitywaves (AGW) and traveling ionospheric disturbances (TID),whichwere conducted at theHigh-frequencyActiveAuroral Research Program facility inGakona, Alaska. Based on the data from UHF radar, GPS total electron content, and ionosonde measurements, we found that artificialAGW/TID can be generated ...
متن کاملInteractions Among Ionospheric Propagation, HF Modems, and Data Protocols
The well-known challenges in using the ionospheric skywave channel for data communications have been increasingly well-addressed by recent generations of HF data modems and link protocols. However, the means used to cope with the skywave channel present unusual challenges to Internet-style networkand application-layer protocols, which have been designed with reliable, high-bandwidth channels in...
